Gaz Keenan steps down at Kirby Muxloe

Kirby Muxloe Manager, Gaz Keenan, has stepped down following the final game of the season and Club Secretary, Phil Moloney paid the following tribute to Gaz.

"Gaz joined our club 36 years ago and then became Player Manager 25 years ago. He remained in that post until he stepped down as Manager following our last game of the season against Continental Star. Due to the unfortunate death of our main Sports Club Chairman last year, Gaz has taken on that role and it is too much to ask to do both. Myself and everyone involved in our Club thank him and his wife Julie, who is also stepping down as Treasurer, for all their time, work and effort which they have put into our Football Club to enable us to be where we are now in this great League. They will both still be working behind the scenes in some capacity at our club and we send both of them our good wishes for the future."
